276.8′ x 44′ Factory Trawler; Trident Seafoods
Originally built as a 212’ x 44’ offshore supply vessel at American Marine Corporation in 1977 as the M/V Ocean King. The vessel was converted to a Factory Trawler in 1989 at Bender Shipbuilding. Hockema has provided engineering and support to Trident Seafoods on several projects:
- Various maintenance engineering projects including stability, tonnage & miscellaneous structural projects.
- Freeboard deck re-assigned to trawl deck, loadline raised above main deck, 140 long tons keel added (2011)
- Electric trawl deck equipment conversion (2013)
- Various tank conversions
- SPS Overlay applied to restore trawl deck (2018)
