Hull Form Optimization

In the development of new hull forms or the modification of existing ones, careful attention to the details and thorough analysis helps to insure the delivered vessel meets and exceeds performance expectations. This is achieved by utilizing our in-house suite of tools and accessing advanced computational analysis software for optimization. We regularly partner with firms worldwide that specialize in advanced computational analysis and we also conduct scale model tests when appropriate for the project. Our services include:

We have brought these tools to bear working on new designs, optimization of series-built vessels, modifications to existing hulls, and as an aid in altering running gear and appendages. Specifically these include bilge keels for roll damping, bulbous bows for hydrodynamic and seakeeping improvements, and propeller nozzle and rudder retrofits for performance and steering improvements.
